New Additions

Here are some new fiction titles I'm excited to add to the collection:

Shadow County by Peter Matthiessen. Winner of the National Book Award. A reworking of the author's trilogy about the death of Florida outlaw E. J. Watson.

I See You Everywhere by Julia Glass. The author of Three Junes relates the lives of two very different sisters over twenty-five years.

Netherland by Joseph O'Neill. After September 11, a banker originally from the Netherlands tries to adapt to New York.

Little Bee by Chris Cleave. The story of a friendship between two women, one a Nigerian refugee and one a widow from the London suburbs.

And get on the waiting list for the following:

The Women by T. Coraghessan Boyle. Fans of Loving Frank, take note: here's another book about Frank Lloyd Wright and his relationships with women.

The Birthday Present by Barbara Vine. Acclaimed mystery writer Ruth Rendell uses the pseudonym Barbara Vine for her "why dun it" works of psychological suspense.

The Believers by Zoe Heller. A family of left-wing intellectuals in New York struggle with their faith and with each other when the family patriarch dies. Heller is the author of What Was She Thinking? Notes on a Scandal.
